We hope to see the Great New Orleans area, and the country, free from the grip of this opioid epidemic. We believe education will spread awareness which will bring people together to fight against the crisis. We know it will take educated people to make a difference and create substantial change.

The Director

Carrie Pizzalato, MPH has a Master’s degree in Public Health from LSUHSC and  experience as a college professor at Holy Cross University.  She is uniquely qualified to be the director of this organization, not only because of her education and employment history, but also because she has experienced the devastation of opioid overdose first hand, with the loss of her brother, Phil.  This website was named in his honor.
